Attorney Janet Ward Black is the principal owner of the personal injury law firm, Ward Black Law located in Greensboro. The 36-person firm is one of the largest woman-owned law firms in our state. S. Camille Payton
S. Camille Payton chaired the Workers’ Compensation section of the North Carolina Bar Association (2010-2011). Payton, a shareholder of Ward Black Law in Greensboro, headed the organization of 685 lawyers from across the state. As section chair, she presided over meetings of the section council, which is the governing board of the section.  Payton recently co-authored and published the Workers’ Compensation Forms Manual.

Nancy R. Meyers
Nancy Meyers has practiced law in North Carolina since 1996, concentrating in the areas of medical malpractice, serious personal injury and wrongful death.  Her background in the medical field gives her a unique and exceptional perspective in dealing with injured clients and their families. Previously, Nancy worked with the law firm of Pinto Coates Kyre & Brown, PLLC, where she also represented insurance companies and corporations, giving her a knowledge of how the opposing counsel will look at her clients’ cases.

Afi Johnson-Parris
Attorney Afi Johnson-Parris brings a strong representation to Ward Black Law in the areas of divorce and separation, child custody and support, and adoptions, as well as veterans disability. An N.C. Board Certified Family Law Specialist, U.S. Air Force veteran and a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, Johnson-Parris has more than 10 years’ legal experience and comes to Ward Black Law from her own successful independent Family Law practice. Afi joined Ward Black Law to expand her Greensboro family law practice and to pursue her passion for helping veterans through the veterans disability practice area.

Gerard Davidson
Before joining Ward Black Law in 2013, Gerard Davidson practiced personal injury and products liability litigation with the Greensboro firm of Smith Moore Leatherwood, LLP for 35 years. His practice there focused on products liability and toxic tort litigation and he was involved in a number of high profile cases.

Manisha P. Patel
Manisha P. Patel is dedicated to offering compassionate and supportive legal services to divorce and family law clients. She was drawn to family law early in her career and helps clients with emotionally stressful transitions. Manisha began her career as a law clerk in the law office of Afi Johnson-Parris and joined Ward Black Law as a contract attorney in 2013.

Rebekah Wolfe
As a personal injury attorney, Rebekah Wolfe represents clients who have been harmed due to the negligence of another party. She has a broad range of experience and is capable of handling many different types of injury cases. Her passion for law began at an early age and led her to Elon University School of Law, where she graduated in 2015 before beginning her career. Rebekah educates clients on the legal system and serves as an ally for them during challenging times.

Jeffrey P. Lewis
Jeff is a workers’ compensation attorney with Ward Black Law. He brings a variety of experience to the firm and is passionate about helping men and women who have been injured on the job. Earlier in his career, Jeff was an adjunct professor at NC State, making him uniquely qualified to educate people on the legal system, as well as their individual rights. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, recognizing attorneys who have achieved settlements of $1,000,000 or greater.

Dan Dutilly
Dan Dutilly is Director of Marketing and Client Relations at Ward Black Law, and also serves as Practice Management Lead for the firm’s Veterans Disability practice area. Dan brings a wide professional background to the firm, with leadership experience in both the military and in private sector careers. He previously served as a Director of Sales & Marketing for Innovative, Inc. in Greensboro, NC, and has held sales and executive management positions in both Fortune 500 and various small business organizations.
