Jennifer Floyd joined the Ward Black Law family in 2019 and currently serves as the Asbestos Department Director. Among the many things Jennifer does for the Asbestos Department, she oversees intakes, case management, disbursements, lien resolution and federal court filings.

When asked what she likes about Ward Black Law, Jennifer said, “I like that we are a Christian-led law firm that cares about our clients and about doing the right thing. I appreciate the ability to work independently but also work as a team towards getting cases settled and claims paid. There is a culture here unlike any other place I have worked. All the attorneys and my co-workers are amazing. Everyone feels like family, and it is a breath of fresh air. I honestly enjoy coming to work.”

Jennifer grew up in Summerfield, NC but has also lived in various parts of the state before returning to the Greensboro area to raise a family. She has worked in daycares, retail businesses, restaurants, veterinary offices, and the insurance industry before coming on board at Ward Black Law. Her capacity to serve her clients and coworkers is rooted deeply in her integrity, loyalty, accountability, dependability, compassion, and genuine desire to make a difference.

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys cooking, baking, smoking meat, traveling, and reading. Her favorite genres of books are suspense, thrillers, mysteries, historical fiction, and biographies. She also loves spending time with family and friends, relaxing, being outside (in the fall and spring), and playing games of all kinds! Her favorite quote from Charles M. Schulz is, “Years are like candy bars…we’re paying more, but they’re getting shorter.”  With this in mind, she tries to fill her life with the things that truly bring her enjoyment.
