Manisha P. Patel
Manisha P. Patel is an attorney representing clients in divorce and family law. She began her career as a law clerk in the law office of Afi Johnson-Parris. She joined Ward Black Law as a contract attorney in 2013.
Manisha graduated from Elon University School of Law in 2011, where she was a member of the Women’s Law Association and Phi Alpha Delta International Law Fraternity. She was drawn to family law early in law school and became dedicated to offering compassionate legal support during emotionally stressful transitions.
She holds undergraduate degrees in both economics and history from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). While at Virginia Tech, Manisha received awards at the national and state level for distinguished service in Student Affairs and Residence Hall leadership.
A native of Danville, Virginia, Manisha is the first attorney in her family. Her father, sister, and brother have all pursued careers in the medical field, while her mother has a background in education. Manisha decided to pursue a law career at a very young age while completing a middle school research and debate project on the death penalty.
Outside of the office, Manisha is an avid runner and has completed nine half marathons. She is also an enthusiastic Virginia Tech Hokies fan and cares deeply for her rescue dog Rusty.
