Ward Black Law announces the implementation of a new practice area assisting United States military veterans in obtaining disability benefits through the Veterans Administration. With the VA experiencing a very high number of new claims and an estimated half-million claims in backlog status at the start of 2013, Ward Black Law is stepping forward to help veterans through the difficult and time-consuming claims appeal process.
Attorney and U.S. Air Force veteran Afi Johnson-Parris has joined Ward Black Law to lead this new practice area for the firm. Johnson-Parris is accredited by the Veterans Administration to represent veterans in the filing and appeals process for obtaining disability compensation. Ward Black Law attorney Gerard H. Davidson, Jr., an U.S. Army veteran, will assist Johnson-Parris in this new practice area along with U.S. Army veteran Dan Dutilly, who recently joined Ward Black Law as Client Relations Manager.
Ward Black Law has long been a supporter of U.S. military veterans, many of whom the firm has represented in asbestos litigation. Ward Black Law also supports many veterans organizations including the Carolina Field of Honor at Triad Park, for which Attorney Johnson-Parris serves on the board.
