I\u2019ve carried those lessons into my role as the Director of Marketing Communications and Janet Ward Black’s executive assistant.Realizing a Shared Foundation of ServiceAt first, the shift felt unfamiliar, but I quickly realized that ministry and law share the same foundation: service. Both require empathy, patience, and a commitment to walk alongside others through their struggles. How we approach each day with purpose makes Ward Black Law feel like a natural extension of my calling. We don\u2019t just fight for justice; we also pray for our clients and staff members, offering financial, emotional, and spiritual support during difficult moments. In addition to my daily responsibilities, I have the privilege of leading Bible studies, which allows me to pour into others spiritually and foster community within our team.Giving Back: The Tithe TeamOne of the most meaningful aspects of my work is being one of the five members of our Tithe Team. We give 10% of the firm\u2019s gross income each month to support nonprofits. This isn\u2019t just about financial contributions; it\u2019s a way to live out our belief that generosity transforms lives and strengthens communities.Serving Beyond a Single ProfessionWorking at Ward Black Law has shown me that service isn\u2019t confined to a single profession or role. Whether in a church or a law firm, my mission is to walk with others in their struggles and offer them hope.
