S. Camille Payton
S. Camille Payton chairs the Workers' Compensation section of the North Carolina Bar Association. Payton, a shareholder of Ward Black Law in Greensboro, heads the organization of 685 lawyers from across the state. As section chair, she presides over meetings of the section council, which is the governing board of the section. Payton, who recently co-authored and published the Workers’ Compensation Forms Manual, writes a column for the quarterly newsletter, The Course and Scope.
Camille Payton has been practicing law since 1993. A native of Kinston, North Carolina, Payton graduated from UNC Chapel Hill and the University of Texas before practicing law in Greensboro. Payton has extensive trial experience. She is proud to take up the cause of people who need help dealing with large insurance companies or other corporations. Payton serves on the investments committee at Shiloh Baptist Church, and in her free time enjoys shopping and dining out.
