Janet Ward Black
Principal of Ward Black Law, Janet Ward Black is the past president of the North Carolina Bar Association. Black was named in "North Carolina Super Lawyer” in 2006 - 2009, most recently as a Top 50 Personal Injury Lawyer and one of the top 50 women attorneys in North Carolina. She was also named in “North Carolina Legal Elite” by Business North Carolina 2007, as well as in “Best Lawyers in America” 2007 and 2008.

S. Camille Payton

Sonja Camille Payton, a shareholder of Ward Black Law, is the incoming vice-chair of the NCBA Workers' Compensation Section Council.  Payton is quite active in the community on behalf of the firm, including the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), where she helps out each season.

M. David Rhodes
David graduated from Auburn University (cum laude) and the University of Alabama School of Law (magna cum laude, Hugo Black Scholar) before practicing law in Greensboro. At Ward Black, David litigates product liability cases with a focus on asbestos litigation.
