  • Janet Ward Black will be the guest speaker at Rick Carner's class Sunday, March 14, at Brevard Community Church at 417 Morris Road in Brevard, NC. She will be talking about International Cooperative Ministries (ICM), a non-profit whose goal is to reach new Christians around the world by building churches and providing Bible education on the internet.

  • With the flip of a switch at 7 a.m. on Friday morning, March 5, phone lines across the state began to buzz as the North Carolina Bar Association’s third annual 4ALL Statewide Service Day was up and running.

  • Janet Ward Black will be speaking at a luncheon for International Cooperating Ministries on March 12 at the Hendersonville Country Club at 11:30 am until 1:30 pm. Janet Ward will be sharing how God is using ICM through its prayer partners and donors to build churches and orphanages in many countries around the world, reaching thousands of people for Christ.
  • Ward Black Law Sponsors Habitat Trip to Honduras

  • For the third time, Ward Black Law is sponsoring several individuals on a building trip for Habitat for Humanity in Honduras. This year the building team will be going to the port city of La Cieba, the third largest city in Honduras with a population of 170,000. Because bananas are the primary crop of Honduras, it makes since that the headquarters for Standard Fruit Company, a subsidiary of Dole Food Company, is headquartered here. The port itself brings jobs to the area. Recently, the tourist business has begun to be an important factor in the ecomony as tourists from around the world flock to nearby Roatan to enjoy the warm Caribbean beaches.

  • Next Ask An Attorney Day to be Held 03/05/10

  • The third annual "Ask an Attorney Day" will be held March 5 this year (03/05/10). As in the past, there are toll free numbers available all day that will connect callers to assistance centers across the state. Callers may call in with any legal questions they may have. The calls are anonymous. The day is sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association and is manned by attorneys, paralegals and law students from across the state. Look here for more information as the day approaches.

  • On March 18, 2010, Restoration Place Ministries will present its first annual fashion show event, Restoration Runway, to raise monies for the provision of affordable, long-term counseling opportunities to hurting ang broken women of the Greensboro area. The event will be held at the Greensboro Country Club from 6:30 to 8:30 pm and will include the runway fashion show, vendor booths, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and raffle prizes. Ward Black Law is proud to be a supporter of this program as a Bronze sponsor.

  • Ward Black Law is proud to be a sponsor of the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Greensboro Sit-Ins that took place at the Woolworth's lunch counter on February 1st, 1960, by purchasing a table at the Standing for a World of Change Gala to be held at the Koury Convention Center on January 30, 2010. The Gala will precede the official opening on February 1, 2010, of the International Civil Rights Center and Museum in the old Woolworth's building in Downtown Greensboro.
