Fosamax

Fosamax® is a prescription drug used to treat osteoporosis.  Recently Fosamax® has been purportedly linked to a serious bone disease called Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (ONJ). ONJ is also known as Dead Jaw or rotting of the jaw.  This condition causes the loss or breakdown of the jaw bone.

The finding was published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and it prompted the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the manufacturer of Fosamax® to issue a warning to health care professionals on September 24, 2004.

Contact Ward Black Law if you developed loss of jaw bone from use of Fosamax® at 1-800-531-9191 for a free consultation or contact us via email.
