Bard/Avaulta® Transvaginal Mesh/Sling Devices

Transvaginal mesh/sling devices implanted through surgery, are used to treat two common health issues affecting women, Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) and Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI).  Concern over serious health issues in women is mounting in the medical community with more than 1,000 reported incidents of women suffering from erosion of vaginal tissue, infection, mesh erosion, pain, perforations of bowel, bladder or blood vessels, recurrence of Pelvic Organ Prolapse and Stress Urinary Incontinence, urinary problems and vaginal scarring.
